Project Overview
Our client needed a customized quoting process to meet their business requirements, as HubSpot's default quote feature didn’t offer specific fields such as start date, end date, date format, tax status, category-wise totals, or unit price totals. Additionally, they wanted a seamless connection between deals and quotes, ensuring that whenever a deal was created, a detailed quote would follow with custom fields.
Challenge
In HubSpot, the default quote feature could not include critical information like start/end dates, tax status, and advanced calculations for category-wise totals. The client also needed these quotes to automatically align with the deal details, as quotes in HubSpot typically associate with a deal name but don’t offer the required custom properties by default.
Solution
We introduced custom properties into HubSpot’s deal and quote system to accommodate the client’s specific needs. When creating a new deal, custom fields such as start date, end date, and tax status were added. This ensured that whenever a quote was generated, it automatically pulled these custom fields from the associated deal.
